News: A Zangoose attack, sudden accusations, and mysterious forces seem to be causing havoc in the mountains of SnowClan. Healer Shivertail has died and Powderstar has lost a life. With the gathering around the corner it seems like SnowClan is one of the Clans who are going to have to explain a large deal.
News: Under unknown circumstances Eclispestar has died and Nightstar is now the leader. The new Deputy is Maskedheart. Three new warriors; Crescentgleam, Cindershade, and Sootpelt.
News: ... Nothing very hazardous to report. Funny, seems like FieldClan is the only Clan who's not being attacked/killed/totally pulverized. Perhaps it means something?
Since the dawn of the Pokemon Clans, there has been a group that had gone through much tragedy to get where they were today. SnowClan, ForestClan, EarthClan, and FieldClan all started because of natural disasters destroying their old homes. It has been many seasons since they settled, and now everything is fine...
Or is it?
The arrogant EarthClan has started to want more land. They wish to expand onto the gentle SnowClan's territory. Will they muster up their strength and let this happen? ForestClan and FieldClan are locked in their feud that has been going on for seasons. How will it be settled? Different ideas have been coming in, and the four Clans seem to be split on the decisions. An odd prophecy from LifeClan is troubling the healers as well.
Beware the never-sleeper
Defeated once but not again
He comes to destroy the living and the dead
With his army of those below.
What will happen? Who will you side with? What does the prophecy mean? You'll find out here.
Welcome to Pokewarriors: the Promise Land.

News: Lucky strays don't seem to be attacked like the Clans... right?
Leaf-fall: Prey is still scurrying around, but are always hording food for the upcoming leafbare. The leaves of the trees are turning magnificent and beautiful colors before falling to the ground in large piles. There has still been little rain. SnowClan's lake is getting lower each passing day. ForestClan's trees can easily catch on fire. In EarthClan territory, water is even harder to come by. Finally, in FieldClan territory, the grasses are becoming dry. For some unknown reason, the weather is not cooling. In fact, it is reaching an all time high. Fire type attacks seem to be effected by this in a good way, the opposite going for ice attacks.
Nightstar; -New- Leader of ForestClan « Thread Started on Jun 12, 2008, 10:57am »
EDIT: Wow... She's leader already... x333
Name: Nightstar
Past and Future Names: Nightkit; Nightpaw; Nightclaw
Species: Mightyena
Gender: Female
Level: 32
Clan: ForestClan
Type: Dark/Grass
Ability: Quick Feet
Rank:Deputy Leader
Moves: Tackle, Howl, Sand-Attack, Bite, Razor Leaf, Odor Sleuth, Roar, Swagger, Assurance, Leaf Blade, and Night Slash (Clan move)
Sprite:
Personality: Nightstar is a tough Pokemon. She fights for her survival and that of her Clan, no matter what. While she can tend to be a bit of a loner, at heart her full loyalty lies with ForestClan. This just makes her more capable of being independent in times of need.
When it comes to her Clanmates, she is friendly and true, willing to stand up and be there for them in any situation. However, in battle, she transforms into a raging beast, all traces of former friendliness gone. Nightstar knows no limits to how fierce a battler she can be, and fights alongside the same Clanmates she knows and trusts.
Nightstar is serious. She knows what she is doing, and can keep a level head. When times get tough, she is more than willing to do what is right, for the good of ForestClan. Her loyalty has been proven time and time again, and it has never shown any signs of faltering.
Description: The manelike fur on Nightpelt’s back, tail, and legs is a woodsy shade of brown rather than the usual black. The rest of her fur is the usual color: a gentle light gray, velvety soft to the touch. She has thick green zigzag-stripes on some parts of her fur, as well. Just below her neck, where her collarbones would be, there are two long, thin black markings. The two main oddities of her however are her eyes, green as emerald grasses, and her claws, so black that they could put midnight itself to shame. These sharp, inky-colored claws are what earned Nightstar her warrior name. She's quick but powerful, with a large enough build to pack a punch but a lithe enough run surprisingly fast.
History: Born in leaf-bare to a lone mother (their father died before she gave birth), Nightstar’s siblings soon died at the frozen hands of the cold. Otherwise, Nightstar had a usual kithood and apprenticehood. The only thing that really separated her from most apprentices was her seriousness, which showed even in her younger days. Nightpaw, as she was called then, lacked the usual naive feistiness of an apprentice. In its place was an air of mature willingness to learn, and an unbroken loyalty that pulsed through her viens. She was mentored by Willowleaf, an experienced Grovyle of the Clan. A couple moons after her warrior ceremony, he joined the elders due to a broken leg and further injuries he obtained in an accident during battle with EarthClan. Eventually, he died of blood loss and infection.
When she became a warrior, she had a good start. Soon she was given an apprentice: Leekpaw. At first it seemed too much of a challenge to raise the hyper, bouncy apprentice, in time Nightclaw was teaching the little Skitty with ease.
During a particular patrol with her apprentice, Nightclaw noticed a familiar ForestClan scent trail. She followed it and discovered the Pokemon it came from was actually her mother. And she was leaving to see a FieldClan Pokemon.
After her mother left FieldClan territory, Nightpelt confronted her. Her mother had apparently fallen in love with a Pokemon from FieldClan, and was seeing this Pokemon often. Knowing she could not tell her Clan she had broken the Warrior Code, she told Nightclaw she would become a stray (as she would likely be exiled anyway), and roam alone. Despite all her loyalty to her Clan, Nightclaw respected her mother’s descision, and agreed to never tell the Clan. ForestClan has not yet learned of her mother’s actions.
This was the only time Nightclaw has ever actually done something that went against the Warrior Code, but she has no regrets as she did it to protect her mother from accusation. Since then, however, she has strived to do better than ever to serve her Clan, sort of as a means to make up for it. Moons passed, and in that time she fought battles, matured, and became a more and more noble warrior. She has coped with the loss of her former apprentice, Leekstalk, and the sudden disappearance of her mother from Clan territory. Now, after a series of odd events, she has become the Clan’s leader, and has proven herself many times over. Nightstar remains true to her Clan, more now than ever.
Relationships: Mother: Brushpelt; now a Stray Father: Deceased Siblings: There were four in her litter. She was the only one who survived their first cold winter. Mate: None. Kits: None. Mentor: Willowleaf, a Grovyle Apprentice: Ivypaw/Shinx Past-Leekpaw/Leekstalk, a Skitty Other: None
Other: Nope. Can’t think of anything.
Roleplay Example:
The sounds of the forest filled the night air. Insects sang. Leaves shivered. The prey ran and rustled through the foliage. Nightclaw didn’t need her sense of sight to tell that this was the perfect night for a hunt.
Slowly, slowly, she crept low to the ground, inhaling the scents of prey with every small step. Yes, she had located it. Nearby, unsuspecting, a Ratatta. She caught a glimpse of it in the blue moonlight. Its whiskers twitched as it sniffed at the air cautiously, eyes wide. Nightclaw froze. The prey suspected her! She had to act fast. A quick Bite to the neck would take its life, but if it ran away before she could catch it, that would all mean nothing.
She waited only a moment more. Then, a true predator, she lunged! Her fangs sank through the skin, and in an instant, it was over. The Mightyena lifted her head, prey in her jaws. Nightclaw was victorious in her hunt.
Feeling successful and proud (despite how easy it was to take down a Ratatta), she carried the small rodent back to the camp. Another piece of fresh-kill was another meal for someone in the Clan. While it didn’t seem like much, it amounted to something. Not to mention, perhaps she could get some sleep now. Nothing like late-night hunting to help her ease her nerves…

EDIT: I have no idea what I was thinking when I kept writing "cat"... Since I'd already mentioned more than one death in the history, I decided to kind of "send Brushpelt away". She could be dead or alive, but she's not in the Clan territory any more all the same, so... Willowpelt's dead, Leekpaw/Leekstalk's dead, and Brushpelt is gone. If it's okay, I might play Brushpelt later, which is why I left her open to further story as a possibility, but if this is okay, that gives me an opportuinity to do what I feel I need to with her at the right time. Let me know what/if I need to edit again (I'm sure you will anyways). Thanks.

''During a particular patrol with her apprentice, Nightclaw noticed a familiar ForestClan scent trail. She followed it and discovered the cat it came from was actually her mother. And she was leaving to see a FieldClan cat.''
Correct every single 'cat' in the history. xD
Leekpaw should definitely be a warrior by now, and mention the mentor in the history. Are you going to play Brushpelt as your stray? If you do not want to play Leekpaw, Willowleaf, or Brushpelt, kill them off or put them up for adoption. I'd like to say that nobody likes to adopt strays. xD

Oooh. Yeah. Forgot about that. And I'll probably kill them off then. Didn't want to get repetitive with death or anything, but I really don't want to play more than one character right now. I'll edit.
